Carmel Valley Skateboard park

Project Description
A 33, 000 square feet concrete skate park with a 600 square foot cast in place concrete restroom. Park features included an 11 feet deep concrete bowl, shortcrete, stamped concrete, drainage, a new electrical meter, lights, security cameras, fencing, landscape and irrigation. The restroom building consisted of cast in place concrete walls, steel columns, sheet metal roof and built up insulation. A number of design changes took place during the construction phase. 3D-Enterprises worked with the design team and City staff to incorporate the changes and complete the project on time within the allowed 150 construction days. The project was awarded the “Honor Award” by the American public works Association in 2009.

Salt Creek Community Park

Project Description
A 22 acre design-build project teamed with Rudolph & Sletten, as General Contractor and City of Chula Vista as owner. Park features include two tot lots, one for small children and one for older children, six picnic areas with furnishings and shade shelters, three themed bridges with a linking trail system for pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicular maintenance access, a loop trail system with measured jogging trails and par course stations, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, an indoor/outdoor soccer arena with synthetic turf, a concrete skateboard area and a natural interpretive and wetland mitigation area.

Leucadia blvd. traffic safety and pedestrian improvements

Project Description
This project was directed by the City of Encinitas to improve pedestrian safety and reduce accidents on Leucadia Blvd. The project consisted of 2 round-abouts on Leucadia Blvd. and miscellaneous work on Vulcan Ave. The scope of work included the construction of storm drains, a full depth street section, Handicapped ramps, masonry walls, decorative concrete, landscape, street lights and traffic signals. This project was the recipient of the “Award of Excellence” from the California Department of Transportation.

San Dieguito Park Miracle Field

Project Description
San Dieguito Park is a 125 acre Park located in Del Mar, CA. The Miracle Field is a fully accessible baseball field that accommodates children and adults with special needs. The field was constructed over an existing water tank with reinforced concrete over it. The field is finished with synthetic turf, asphalt and concrete paving with strict tolerances as base coarse. Other Features included are chain link fence, concrete walk, voice system, landscape, and site furnishing.

Children’s Museum Park

Project Description
This project was a one acre park in Downtown San Diego for the Center City Development Corporation of San Diego. Park features include heavy structural steel shade structures, custom built electrical lights and canopies, cast in place concrete walls, decorative concrete seat walls, fencing, electrical pedestal and lights, play equipment, resilient surfacing, brick pavers, landscape and irrigation. The Structural steel portion of the project was value engineered by 3-D Enterprises with a $170, 000 saving to the owner. This project was awarded the “Merit Award” by the Sand Diego Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects.

Solana Ranch Park

Project Description
Solana Ranch Park is a new 5 acre Park within Carmel Valley area of San Diego. Pardee Homes acted as the developer for the City of San Diego. Park features include two play equipment sets for 2-5 and 5-12 year olds, structured steel abode structure, prefabricated restroom building with storage area for maintenance, area lights, concrete and D.G., walks with picnic tables and benches, an open bio retention area and rock wall areas were used to filter all storm drains from the park before it enters city storm drain system. The project was completed within 5.5 months allowed by the contract.

Mount Miguel High School Phase II

Project Description
Two separate projects at Mount Miguel H.S. The Infrastructure project scope included removal and replacement of 90% of the site concrete, including seat walls, architectural concrete, ramps, hand rail, brick paving and complete new landscape and irrigation for the High School. This work was completed in 70 calendar days during summer. The synthetic track project was completed in 70 calendar days during the following summer and included new synthetic track around the football field and 3 new restroom/ concession buildings made of block wall and sheet metal roof.

Third Avenue Streetscape Improvements

Project Description
Street improvements and beautification to eight blocks of downtown Chula Vista on Third Avenue. The project was completed in 8 phases with strict coordination with shop owners and city staff.

El Cuervo Wetland Mitigation

Project Description
El Cuervo Norte project consisted of a 27.5 acre site with a 22 acres of wetland and 4 acres of upland mitigation. The scope consisted of heavy grading of the entire site with large quantities of export, the grade was lowered to reach the water table for the wetland area, temporary irrigation, amending the soil for the wetland areas, fencing, planting, hydro-seeding and a five year maintenance period. The project was approved by Fish & Wild Life and Army Corporation of Engineers. Project received “Honor award of the Year” by American Public Works Association in 2006.

Construction of South Chollas Landfill Slope Modification

Project Description
Improvement to a 31 acre landfill site owned by the City of San Diego. Project Description
This project was to complete site work and utility requirement for a new 5000 square feet relocatable office building for UCSD La Jolla Campus. Project Description
